Code of Conduct    

The GBC asks its members to display fair play and good sportsmanship.   Develop a consistent habit of good sportsmanship and fair play.

  • Keep the score correctly- state the score after each rally.

  • Call the lines fairly ( remember it is the lines on your own side you are responsible for).

  • Shake hands after each match.

  • Congratulate your opponent politely if you lose.

  • Share your expertise if asked.

  • Acknowledge a strength, good shot or good rally of your opponent when you win.

Respect the court time allowed for games. Do not walk across another court in use.

Zero tolerance for disruptive behavior - loud, abusive or profane language.

Zero tolerance for throwing equipment or hitting the shuttle.

Proper sports attire is required.

Only wear non marking indoor court shoes.

No food allowed while you are on court.

The wearing of polycarbonate lenses in a frame designed for sports (ASTM F803) is strongly recommended during club play for all members and guests.

The use of protective eye wear for Juniors in doubles play is mandatory.
